The brand-new Virgin Racing team will present its first Formula 1 car live over the internet next Wednesday. Known as Manor GP before the buy-in from Sir Richard Branson's worldwide company took place, the team remains located close to Sheffield.
With testing kicking off on the first three days of next week, Virgin will not be in Spain but instead launching its Nick Wirth-designed car, which has been developed only with the use of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) as opposed to making use of a wind tunnel.
Its driver line-up features 2007 GP2 titles rivals Timo Glock, who moves from the departed Toyota team, and Lucas di Grassi, a top three championship finisher over the course of the three most recent GP2 seasons. Representing the outfit as test drivers are Portugal's Álvaro Parente and Brazil's Luis Razia.
